One day as every days, people of Puerto Rico perceived change coming to their land and brought them from Spanish colony to U.S control in 1989 after the Spanish-America war. That was a new story and beginning started for the Island. As new colony U.S. supposed to stablished a new constitution, politic, culture, and language over the Island. However, why did English not become the first language in Puerto Rico after colonization? After doing my researches, I found out that English did not become the first language in Puerto Rico after colonization because the Island was Spanish colony for 400 years, their culture is already based on Spanish, and the majority of Puerto Ricans speak Spanish fluently.

First of all, those books explain two different stories that took place in two different islands while one in Dominica and the another one in Cuba. The books present almost the same reality but in different ways. However, in the beginning of each book, the authors started by introducing their stories with trees. For instance "Little Cog-Burt'' used Christmas tree fairy and the poinsettia trees, on the other hand, "Cotton Candy" explains about the butterfly how it was dancing above the trees.
On the contrary, both stories happened in different seasons. Puerto Rico
Puerto Rico is my Island's choice for this project. Also I have many things to say about it not only because I went there, but as tourist, I love this Island. Fist of all, Puerto Rico is located between the Caribbean sea and the north Atlantic Ocean, east of the Dominican Republic and west of the Virgin Islands. Puerto Rico is the third largest island of US and the 82nd in the world. According to my researches, I found out that the island's population was made by aboriginal people. But, when the Columbus come to there second voyage things begging to change because the Spanish took over Puerto Rica. In Puerto Rico their official language is Spanish as citizens of America they speak English as well but most of people are bilingual. In addition, the island is surround by different races and multiple cultures. Moreover, the political status of Puerto Rico is that of an unincorporated territory of United States, and it is a sovereign nation nor a U.S. State.Puerto Rico music come from many sources, for instance, Spain, West Africa, Europe, the Caribbean and, in the last century, the USA.
Their wide and rich variety of music is Bomba that become today Reggaetón but their culture is based on boleros of Rafael Hernandez that comes from salsa.
