Blog #7 INTRODUCTION

Life is moving by change from one thing to another. According to the nature, every second, minute, day, month, and year is changing things that surrounding the world. One day as every days, people of  Puerto Rico perceived change coming to their land and brought them from Spanish colony to U.S control in 1989 after the Spanish-America war. That was a new story and beginning started for the Island. As new colony U.S. supposed to stablished a new constitution, politic, culture, and language over the Island. However, why did English not become the first language in Puerto Rico after colonization? After doing my researches, I found out that English did not become the first language in Puerto Rico after colonization because the Island was Spanish colony for 400 years, their culture is already based on Spanish, and the majority of Puerto Ricans speak Spanish fluently.
